Located on the East Bank of Downtown Sioux Falls in the historic Frank Building, the Tarabelsi Family bring you a piece of Italy, right here in the Midwest. 

Riccardo was born in Florence, Italy and grew up in Boston, MA. Marybeth, a Sioux Falls native, ventured to the east coast as a nanny and then nursing school in Somerville, MA. The two met, fell in love, and became engaged on Martha’s Vineyard island. Moving back to Sioux Falls in 1999, the two share the art of hospitality, have grown their love for the restaurant and wine industries, and welcome everyone into their family, along with their three sons: Dante, Berent (Molli,) and Jaxon. The “R” is for Riccardo and Revier, Marybeth’s maiden name.

As owners of R Wine Bar, Riccardo and Marybeth are passionate about one thing: people. They believe that people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. Every employee at R Wine Bar is hand-picked and personally trained to engage with every guest that walks through the doors. With a curated wine list, local craft beer on tap, and traditional menu strategy, Riccardo and Marybeth are thrilled to bring R Wine Bar & Kitchen to Downtown Sioux Falls, along with their other properties Brix Wine Bar, Maribella Ristorante, and their catering company, Vespa Catering.
